Jessica Leibe is a New Jersey-based writer and editing professional with over 20 years of experience, blending her passion for storytelling with a dedication to self-discovery, authenticity, and growth. With a deep love for creativity and connection, she crafts narratives that resonate with sincerity and depth.
Currently, Jessica works as a Communications Coordinator where she applies her expertise in crafting compelling narratives that inspire and inform. Her professional background is as varied as it is rich, including roles at Barnes & Noble, Fangoria, Bergen Volunteers, and F.Y.E. This diverse experience shapes her unique perspective as a writer and communicator. She is also a freelance copywriter, helping individuals and companies share their messages with clarity and impact.
Jessica is the author of the Substack "Simply Writing," where she shares essays, poems, and reflections about writing, asexuality, digital minimalism, life, and more. It’s a space for dreamers, writers, and anyone who has ever felt “othered” by society.
Her writing has appeared in Craft Better Books, The Big Smoke, Writing and Wellness, Fangoria, and House Digest.
One of her goals is to bring more awareness of asexuality via the means she knows best: writing. Her memoir follows her journey of discovering her asexuality and how it shaped her past relationships and future. A horror fan since childhood, she is currently writing a Dracula-inspired novel.
When she’s not writing, Jessica can be found exploring her eclectic interests. She’s a foodie, an avid reader, a lover of synthwave playlists, and a former martial arts trainee. An Aries Sun, Sagittarius Moon, and Cancer Rising, Jessica embraces both her planner tendencies and her preference to go with the flow, embodying a balance of structure and spontaneity. As an introverted homebody, she finds joy in slow and intentional living while also cherishing opportunities to explore new places and experiences.
Jessica is on a constant journey to live authentically, inspire others, and share the transformative power of creativity with the world.
